The 3rd Chinese Transplant Games |

Shanghai on 13-15 June 2008
Hong Kong Society of Transplantation and Hong Kong Transplant Sports Association (HKTSA) which was formed by transplant recipients and established in March 2008. had co-organized a team of 31 transplant recipients, 2 living donors, 2 deceased donor families, 7 relatives, and 8 volunteers to participate in The 3 rd Chinese Transplant Games in Shanghai on 13-15 June 2008. Led by Dr. Chau Ka Foon, President of HKST and Mr. Martin Wong, Chairman of HKTSA. Hong Kong team had achieved excellent results with a total of 13 Gold, 5 Silver and 6 Bronze medals.

Wuhan, 9-11 June 2006
The 2nd Chinese Transplant Games cum the 1st Chinese Organ Donation Day organized by 中國移植受者運動協會 was held in Wuhan 9-11 June 2006 . Dr. KL Tong and Ms. Monica Wong (Transplant co-ordinator of Kowloon West Cluster) led a team of 10 transplant patients to participate in the activity. The Hong Kong team consisted of 3 males and 7 females patients, 2 liver transplants and 8 renal transplants. Four patients joined the table tennis, two badminton, three swimming and two track events. One young renal transplanted lady patient won the 2nd runner up in the Badminton Single. The Hong Kong team is the only overseas Chinese team joining the Transplant Games and was well received by the organizer. The participants were also proud of joining the national transplant games and happy to have good rehabilitation from the disease.
